If it goes wrong

What to Do If a Prop Firm Payout Is Delayed

A delayed withdrawal is not automatically a refusal, and a refusal is not automatically misconduct. The sequence below is designed to establish, in order, what the terms said, what your account did, and what the firm has stated — so that whatever happens next rests on a record rather than a feeling.

  1. 1

Confirm what the published window actually is

Before treating a payout as late, re-read the firm's stated processing time and check whether it is expressed in business days, whether it starts at request or at approval, and whether the payout rail adds its own settlement time. A request inside the published window is not yet delayed.

  2. 2

    Record the timeline

Note the request timestamp, the account ID, the amount, the method, the stated window, and every status change. Screenshot the dashboard each time it changes. A dated record is what makes any later conversation straightforward.

  3. 3

    Check your own compliance first

Re-read the minimum trading days, consistency and drawdown clauses against your own statement. If the request is on hold because a condition was not met, you will find it faster than support will tell you.

  4. 4

Consider pausing trading while the request is open

If the rulebook allows a pending request to be cancelled by a breach, continuing to trade during review adds risk that has nothing to do with the payout itself.

  5. 5

Raise it through the firm's own channel, in writing

Use the official support channel so there is a ticket reference. State the facts and the request, and ask one specific question: which clause the request is being held under, and what is required to release it. Keep it factual — an accusation slows a resolution down.

  6. 6

Escalate within the firm before escalating outside it

Ask for the ticket to be escalated and for a written expected date. Give the firm a reasonable, documented opportunity to respond before taking it further.

  7. 7

If you go public, post evidence, not conclusions

Reviews and community posts are legitimate. Describe dates, amounts and the clause cited, and avoid asserting motives or fraud you cannot prove — for your own protection as much as anyone's.

  8. 8

Check what recourse the contract names

The terms usually specify the governing jurisdiction and any dispute process. If the sums involved justify it, that clause — not a forum thread — is where the formal route begins. This site is not legal advice.
